Welcome to Stef's Reccs!

Oh hey there! So glad you took the time out of your day to visit my page and to read this! I will try to always keep things straight to the point because I know your time is valuable and we all have the attention span of pigeons nowadays. 

I started this site as a reference guide for my favorite things (or reccs…and yes, I know that is spelled wrong, but fun fact I always spell “recommendation” wrong, so it made sense to me!). I think the most valuable recommendation is from that of a friend or at least someone who you know has similar taste. We live in a world where it seems we are being advertised to in all aspects of our lives making it harder to trust if something is actually of value for your time or money. So I wanted to create a space where I could document everything I liked and use it as a reference point when people ask for my recommendation for any given product, show, or otherwise. 

So why should you take any interest in my recommendations, you might ask…well simply put, I sometimes have a lot of time on my hands. I work from home, I don’t have kids, and I am basically chronically online and/or spending my money trying new things. 

What can you expect from my recommendations? When it comes to a product, I will likely always recommend something that is a good value. I grew up in a household where nearly everything we bought was on sale, and my Mom taught me how to hunt for the good deals. That being said there are some things I believe are worth spending some extra money on…so if you see something on the higher end, you will know I think it's worth it. 

When it comes to entertainment... I like to spend my time watching an array of genres…things that make me laugh, make me think, or make my shut my brain off entirely. I won’t always take the time to detail the obvious most popular shows, but likely something that is lesser known and 100% worth your time. 

And if you haven’t realized it by now, I like to recommend a beauty product. It's an industry that fascinates me, and I do spend a lot of my time consuming beauty-related content. A very important disclaimer… my intent is not to make you feel like you need to run out and buy everything on my page but instead to use it as a resource when you are looking for something new. I myself can easily fall into overconsumption, so please understand that not everyone needs everything all at once. And to start, none of my links are creating income for me, but I will be sure to be very transparent should that change. 

Lastly, I want this environment to be two-way communication. I want to know when you try something and love it as well. Or even better if you have a recc of something that you love.
